Orcus, officially (90482) Orcus, is an object of the Kuiper Belt, more specifically, a plutino, discovered in 2004 by the team of Mike Brown, Chad Trujillo, David Rabinowitz, although images have been found in which it appears dated in 1951. It is a small body of the Solar Sysetem candidate to be considered a dwarf planet. Its orbit, with a 2:3 orbital resonance with Neptune, resembles that of Pluto (both have perihelion above the ecliptic), but is oriented differently. Its diameter is about 910 km, which makes it the second largest Plutino, after Pluto. He has a satellite called Vanth.
